Originally discovered by chance in 1936 electroluminescence has long been used in the television industry. Every traditional cathode ray televisions (glass front tube) has lots of little blobs of phosphors coloured Red, Green or Blue embedded in the front screen. These blobs glow when excited by the magic we call telly. According to how excited each blob gets the viewer sees a picture across the whole screen and numerous blobs.

This same technology has been applied to Light Tape and we can now apply the glowing phosphors to any flat or curved surface in uniform or random shapes. The patented technology behind Light Tape is the key to its superiority in the manufacture and durability of this remarkable product.
